Overview
At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Our residents are people with their own stories to tell, and by joining us you\\\βll have the chance to give something back while helping them live with dignity and purpose. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our team. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you\\\βll support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents, including personal care such as washing, dressing, hygiene and meals, as well as helping with daily activities in the home. You\\\βll deliver care that comes from the heart, ensuring residents never lose their individuality.
Safeguarding is everyone\\\βs responsibility. It is important to recognise signs that may indicate abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and to know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
Responsibilities
- Support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents, including personal care (washing, dressing, hygiene) and meals.
- Assist with daily activities in the home and support residents with limited mobility.
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care and comfort to residents who are distressed while always prioritising wellbeing.
- Uphold residents\\\β individuality and dignity in all interactions.
- Follow safeguarding procedures, escalate concerns, and participate in safeguarding training relevant to the role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Right to work in the UK (please note we cannot offer sponsorship or accept time-limited visas).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to digital care planning; support will be provided as you become comfortable with new technology.
- Commitment to continuous personal and professional development; opportunities for qualifications and career progression are available.
