In your role as an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, and each person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. As an Activities Co‑ordinator you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events, and foster confidence and socialisation for Residents. Whether you are creating new activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies or involving the care home team, you will do so with a sense of kindness above all else.
HC‑One is looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, we value brilliant, positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people. You should have strong planning, organisational and IT skills, manage your time effectively, and communicate with Residents and co‑workers in a considerate and kind manner.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if there are concerns, attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role and undertake additional training in associated areas. You should also seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
