About The Role

The Cook at Blakelands Lodge will help to plan and prepare a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centred around our residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements. You will work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and share our ethos of creating an ambient dining experience at every mealtime helping to create a great place to live for our residents.

This role includes a £1,000 welcome bonus (pro-rata).

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. The cook must recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms, and be prepared to act if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. The cook also has the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
