About the role
As a Care Assistant at Woodthorpe, you’ll take responsibility for the physical, emotional and social well‑being of our residents, providing compassionate care that respects their dignity and individuality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with personal care activities such as washing, dressing, personal hygiene and meals.
- Supporting residents in general activities within the home.
- Helping residents with limited mobility to use aids and equipment.
- Offering comfort and support to distressed residents, including end‑of‑life care.
- Recognising and reporting signs of abuse, harm or neglect; attending safeguarding training and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Effectively using digital care‑planning tools and maintaining accurate records.
