The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

HC-One are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You'll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills. Please be aware this role is for 20 hours per week.

As a Maintenance Operative you will help ensure our Residents live in a place that's proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You will carry out audits and ensure records are kept up to date. You will perform tasks ranging from replacing taps or mixer valves to fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or putting up wallpaper, always with kindness and consideration. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and it is important that you are able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and inspect resident living environments and common areas to ensure proactive upkeep.
  • Carry out audits and keep maintenance records up to date.
  • Perform tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or wallpapering as needed, with emphasis on safety and kindness.
  • Recognise safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately; participate in safeguarding training.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and co-workers, demonstrating consideration and respect.
Qualifications
  • Solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; IT skills preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and be considerate with residents and colleagues.
  • Willingness to complete safeguarding training and participate in related ongoing training.
  • Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns when needed.
