Overview
As a Night Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and influence the rest of the team. You may show someone how to use a walking frame, assist someone at the end of their life to eat a meal, or talk to a resident’s family on the phone, always with kindness. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. A key responsibility is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with care delivery, activities and medication administration.
- Provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
- Build and maintain personalised care plans and records, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Support residents and their families with communication and consent-related matters.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ideally completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent.
- Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
- Positive energy and ability to get along with people; strong record-keeping and time-management skills.
- Commitment to kindness and to treating residents and colleagues with consideration.
