At HC‑One, we are looking for a dedicated Chef who can bring their skills and passion for food into our care home kitchen. You will play a vital role in preparing and serving wholesome, homemade meals that meet nutritional needs and bring comfort and enjoyment to our Residents every day. This role includes a £500 welcome bonus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and kitchen practice.
- Plan and create menus that are nutritious, appetising and suitable for the residents' dietary requirements.
- Maintain the kitchen in a clean and organised manner, following HACCP principles.
- Work collaboratively with the care team, showing a positive attitude and a caring approach.
- Recognise the signs of abuse, harm or neglect, complete safeguarding training, and raise concerns in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification – S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Sound understanding of HACCP.
- Experience in a care‑home or similar environment is desirable.
