Overview
As a Night Senior Care Assistant at Larkhill Hall, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as guiding use of a walking frame, helping residents at mealtimes, talking with families on the phone, providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in adult social care. You should recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what actions to take if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
