Maintenance Operative

About The Role

This is a part-time role working Thursdays and Fridays only, 15 hours per week, with additional cover during holidays at our Penrith, Winters Park care home.

HC-One seeks a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required, with some IT skills preferred. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.

Your responsibilities include ensuring our residents live in a well-maintained environment, conducting audits, maintaining records, and performing repairs such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, always with kindness.

Safeguarding is everyone\’s responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, attend appropriate safeguarding training, and know how to report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
