Activities Co-ordinator in Irvine

In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Responsibilities:

• Planning and implementing activities that will delight our Residents.
• Helping the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events.
• Giving our Residents the confidence to socialise more effectively.
• Working on new activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies.
• Getting the rest of the care home team involved with a sense of kindness.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes.
• Brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people.
• Great planning, organisational and IT skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Considerate and kind communication with Residents and co-workers.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and it is important to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in associated areas.
