At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a dedicated Chef to bring their skills and passion to our care home kitchen, preparing and serving wholesome, homemade meals that meet nutritional needs and bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents.

Responsibilities

  • You will play a vital role in preparing and serving meals, maintaining food safety standards, planning menus, presenting dishes, and fostering a caring, team‑oriented kitchen environment.
  • You will also assist with safeguarding duties, recognising signs of abuse or neglect, attending required safeguarding training, and reporting concerns appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification: S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery Level 2
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP
  • Experience as a cook in a care‑home or similar setting
  • Positive attitude, team player, and genuine passion for making mealtimes special for residents
  • Ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and to act in accordance with safeguarding procedures
  • Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not offered
