As a Housekeeping Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the heart of everything you do. It’s what shapes our care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist homes. Our Residents are people with rich lives and personal stories. By joining HC-One, you’ll help give something back — through care, respect, and attention to detail. This role is for 22 hours per week. You’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming home. Your work will make a real difference every day.
Key responsibilities
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
- Following cleaning schedules and tasks set by the team lead
- Using products safely and following hygiene procedures
- Supporting infection control and safety standards
- Helping with laundry and linen care
- Reporting any issues or repairs as needed
You’ll take pride in your work and keep everything spotless. Whether you’re ticking off tasks or jumping in to lend a hand, you’ll do it with care and compassion.
Qualifications & qualities
- Some housekeeping experience is helpful, but full training is provided.
- Organised, manage time well, and work with attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, kind and respectful in every conversation with Residents, visitors, and colleagues.
- Ability to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns.
- Will attend safeguarding training appropriate to the role and undertake additional training in associated areas.
- Capable of seeking appropriate advice and reporting concerns, including escalation.
