Part Time Weekend Role Saturday and Sunday 9-5, 16 hours a week. In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. By joining HC-One you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to residents.
As an Activities Co-ordinator you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events, and work with the care home team to engage Residents in activities with kindness at the forefront.
HC-One is looking for someone with a background in working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, it’s about your positive energy and ability to work well with people. You’ll have strong planning, organisational and IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively, while communicating with Residents and co-workers with genuine consideration and kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; you should recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement activities that engage Residents and support their wellbeing.
- Assist the Home Manager with organising essential fundraising events.
- Encourage Residents to socialise and participate in activities, including developing new ideas based on Residents’ hobbies.
- Coordinate with the care home team to involve colleagues in activities and ensure a supportive environment.
- Maintain a kind and respectful approach in all interactions with Residents and co-workers.
- Adhere to safeguarding requirements, recognise concerns, and report them as appropriate, including escalation if necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and ideally developing activity programmes.
- Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills; able to manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, kind approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding concepts and willingness to undertake appropriate safeguarding training.
