About You
In your role as a Clinical Unit Manager at HC One, you’ll value one thing above all: Kindness. It carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Being a Clinical Unit Manager means taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care.
- Reporting that a new resident has mobility issues, asking a gentleman to provide a sample for monitoring or administering a medicine while ensuring resident dignity and wellbeing.
- Being able to run the entire home when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent.
- Being a Registered Nurse with a valid PIN and adhering to the standards of practice set by the NMC.
- Mentoring and sharing knowledge with colleagues, providing support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students.
- Understanding effective communication, both verbally and in written form, and role-modeling professional behaviours.
- Advocating and delivering a person-centred approach to care for residents and their families.
- Safeguarding responsibilities: recognizing signs of abuse, harm or neglect and knowing what to do if concerns arise; attending safeguarding training and undertaking additional training as needed.
