Chef – Care Home Kitchen
We are looking for a dedicated Chef who will play a vital role in preparing and serving wholesome, homemade meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents. You will ensure meals are safe, appetising and presented with pride, using your creativity to plan menus that provide enjoyment each day.
You will be an experienced cook holding a recognised qualification such as an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, and a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. A sound understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) is required to maintain the highest standards of food safety and kitchen practice.
Beyond technical skills you will bring creativity to menu planning, pride in presenting nutritious and appetising dishes, and a genuine passion for making mealtimes special. You will be a team player with a positive attitude and a caring approach that reflects HC‑One values.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: you will be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All team members receive safeguarding training and you will seek appropriate advice, report concerns and, if action is not taken, escalated accordingly.
