About the role
The Cook at Blakelands Lodge will help to plan and prepare a variety of meals that are appealing, nutritious and centred around the residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements. The Cook will work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and share our ethos of creating an ambient dining experience at every mealtime, helping to create a great place to live for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare a variety of meals that meet residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements.
- Work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Support the creation of an ambient dining experience at every mealtime.
- Attend safeguarding training appropriate to the role and recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect.
- Report concerns and seek appropriate advice and escalation if needed.
