Overview
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. By joining HC-One you\\u2019ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to Residents. As an Activities Co-ordinator you will plan and implement the activities that delight Residents, help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events, and involve the care home team to support Residents with confidence to socialise and engage in hobbies. Safeguarding is everyone\\u2019s responsibility and it is important that you recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement activities to delight Residents in Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes.
- Assist the Home Manager with organising essential fundraising events.
- Support Residents to socialise more effectively and engage the care home team in activity ideas.
- Communicate with Residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate reporting and escalation procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and preferably developing activity programmes.
- Strong planning, organisational and IT skills; good time management.
- Positive energy and the ability to build rapport with Residents and colleagues.
- Ability to recognise safeguarding issues and complete safeguarding training appropriate to the role.
