Overview

Part‑time Activities Co‑ordinator (16 hours per week) at HC‑One. The role is to plan and implement engaging activities for residents across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, support the Home Manager with fundraising events, and foster a kind and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of activities that delight residents.
  • Assist the Home Manager with the organisation of fundraising events.
  • Encourage and support residents to socialise and pursue hobbies.
  • Collaborate with the care home team to involve staff in activities.
  • Maintain a safeguarding‑aware environment, recognising signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with vulnerable or older adults, particularly in designing activity programmes.
  • Strong planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Proficient use of IT and digital care‑planning tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and considerate approach to residents and colleagues.
  • Completed safeguarding training relevant to the role, or willingness to undertake such training.
