About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, you will be at the core of our care homes, supporting residents across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care settings. You will plan and implement care that provides residents with security, dignity and independence, develop personalised care plans, and engage with residents and their families.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Care Assistants
  • Maintain high care standards
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager
  • Provide physical and mental stimulation through activities
  • Administer medication
  • Keep accurate records
  • Build strong relationships with the team
  • Support safeguarding duties

Qualifications

  • Ideally, have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and be working towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in person‑centred care planning and dementia care
  • Positive energy, strong interpersonal skills, good record keeping, and time‑management

Safeguarding

  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect
  • Undertake safeguarding training
  • Seek advice and report concerns or escalation when necessary
