About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will plan and implement person‑centered care to give residents a sense of security, dignity and independence. You will liaise with residents and families to deliver personalised care plans, lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high care standards and influence the team. You may demonstrate assistance with walking frames, end‑of‑life care, phone communication with family, provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, administer medication and assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and building strong relationships with the team.

Qualifications

Ideally, you have completed a Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Adult Social Care and are working towards a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, a background in person‑centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. Essential attributes are positive energy, strong record keeping, time management and consistent kindness in communication.
