Our mission is to enhance residents’ lives, support our people, and drive continuous improvement throughstrong leadership, innovation, and values-led decision-making.The HR and Recruitment Administrator is an important operational role within the Talent & Recruitmentteam, responsible for managing the end-to-end pre-employment compliance process for all new startersacross the Group — from offer acceptance through to confirmed start date. Reporting to the Senior HR andRecruitment Administrator, the postholder ensures that all required checks are completed accurately,compliantly, and as quickly as possible, removing barriers to a prompt start and giving new starters the bestpossible first experience of HC-One.Speed and compliance are equally important in this role. The HR and Recruitment Administrator works closelywith Regional Recruiters, Home Managers, the Quality & Governance Directorate, and the Training & PracticeDevelopment team to ensure every new starter is compliantly cleared, warmly welcomed, and ready tocontribute from day one.
The main Responsibilities of the HR and recruitment administrator are:
- Pre employment Compliance checks
- Speed to start
- Liaise with operations and home managers
- Liaise with training and Inductions
- Create and manage Records, Systems and GDPR compliance
- Enhance the new starter experience
- Regular reporting
- Safeguarding

About You
For this role candidates will have the following essential skills and attributes:
- Sound knowledge of safer recruitmentrequirements, right-to-work legislation,and GDPR as they apply to recruitmentand onboarding practice.
- Understanding of pre-employmentcompliance requirements within aregulated sector, including DBS,references, occupational health andprofessional registration checks.
- Strong organisational skills and attentionto detail, with the ability to manage ahigh volume of new starters acrossmultiple locations simultaneously withoutlosing accuracy or responsiveness.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationshipmanagement skills, with the confidenceand credibility to work closely with HomeManagers and operational leaders.
- Clear, warm and professional written andverbal communication skills, with theability to keep candidates and managersinformed at every stage.
- Proficient in the use of applicant trackingsystems and Microsoft Office 365, with awillingness to embrace digital recruitmenttools and platforms
- Comfortable working independently,managing own diary and priorities, withthe resilience and self-motivation toperform well without close day-to-daysupervision.
- Demonstrable experience in arecruitment, HR or complianceadministration role, with a track record ofmanaging end-to-end activity acrossmultiple cases simultaneously.
- Experience of managing preemployment checks and compliancedocumentation to deadline.
It would be an advantage for candidates to also have:
- A relevant qualification in HR,recruitment, or a relateddiscipline (equivalent practicalexperience will also beconsidered).
- Experience within health,social care, or a comparablehigh-volume, people-focusedsector.
- Experience of supporting afield-based or regionallydispersed recruitment team.
