About the role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, you will help deliver personalised dementia, nursing, residential and specialist care. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity and independence, and work closely with families, nurses and the care team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver person‑centred care for residents, ensuring their safety, dignity and independence.
- Maintain accurate records, including care plans, medication logs and activity reports.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with medication administration and physical/mental stimulation activities.
- Guide and support new and existing care team members, fostering a culture of kindness and teamwork.
- Attend to residents’ needs during activities, walks, meals and end‑of‑life situations with empathy and respect.
- Ensure effective communication with families regarding resident care and wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Completed Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience in person‑centred care planning, with knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
- Strong record‑keeping skills and effective time‑management.
- Positive energy, excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to work well with others.
Safeguarding
