About the role

This is a full‑time (37.5 hours per week) role, with working times of 08:00‑16:00 or 09:00‑17:00. Candidates must be available 7 days a week, including some weekends, but not every day.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement activities that delight residents.
  • Assist the Home Manager with organising essential fundraising events.
  • Encourage and support residents to socialise more effectively, develop new activity ideas based on their hobbies, and involve the care team.
  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and respond appropriately, including escalation if necessary, in line with safeguarding training and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with experience developing activity programmes.
  • Strong planning, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Positive, natural ability to get along with people and communicate with kindness and consideration.
