The Regional Head of Strategic Relationships is a senior commercial position responsible for identifying and developing partnerships across the North of England and Scotland. Reporting directly to the Business Growth Director, the successful candidate will drive strategic activities to expand clinical services through both traditional insourcing and digital pathway adaptation.
Key Position Details:
- Location: Remote / Field-based.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Salary: Basic salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including discretionary bonus, sales commission and private medical insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clinical and non-clinical decision-makers to position HBSUK as a preferred provider.
- Account Management: Implement robust stakeholder management practices to accelerate revenue growth with new customers while maintaining existing accounts.
- Sales Performance: Deliver against quarterly sales and margin targets through high-level planning and prioritisation.
- Lead Generation: Qualify and optimise leads through internal resources and an established network of NHS Executives and consultants.
- Tender Management: Actively participate in regional tenders and bid activities in collaboration with the central bid team.
- Operational Integration: Ensure background processes, such as pricing models and competitor positioning, are adhered to support sales conversions.
Requirements
Essential
- EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING: Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a high-level commercial setting.
- EXPERIENCE: Proven commercial success within the NHS or private healthcare sector, including experience selling directly to Executives and clinicians.
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: An existing contact network of NHS clients and clinical consultants. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and experience with project and contract management. A tenacious, proactive approach to business development with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a national team.
Desirable
- EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with CRM systems, tender tracking software, and Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI.
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: A track record of winning deals in the NHS with a particular emphasis on insourcing or digital system contracts.
