Based in London or Paris with a hybrid work setup. This position involves medium travels abroad (up to 2 months). Be part of broadcasting magic at major sports events! Our Digital team is at the heart of bringing these unforgettable sporting events to millions of viewers worldwide. As a Broadcast Cloud Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of live production and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless video signal flow from stadium to screen. You’ll work across on-premise and cloud systems (mainly AWS), coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and help shape the next generation of live sports delivery. For this role, you should expect to be working irregular hours covering both evenings and weekends, especially during event time.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end delivery of live event broadcasts
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud and video workflows
- Coordinate project timelines, requirements, and stakeholders
- Drive innovation through scripting (Python) and automation tools
- Support post-event reporting and knowledge sharing
- Travel occasionally to support high-profile global events
Qualifications
- Previous exposure to live broadcast environments essential
- Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Python and modern scripting for automation
- Solid understanding of video workflows, encoding, and streaming protocols (SRT, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Fluent in both French and English (spoken & written)
- Strong communication skills – Fluent in English, able to navigate an international environment with clarity and professionalism.
- Confident & adaptable team players – Thriving in fast-paced, live event settings, where collaboration is key to success.
- Technical excellence & organisation – Structured, detail-oriented, and proficient in the tools needed to keep operations seamless.
