We are currently looking for a Project Lead to support the delivery of HBK’s key transformation initiatives focused on evolving the organisation towards a clearer, more accountable and commercially effective operating model. The role will sit within the HBK People team and report directly to a senior HR leadership member, working as part of a small team supporting transformational, value-creating projects across the organisation.
The Project Lead will be responsible for translating design principles into practical organisation design, governance, decision rights, accountabilities and ways of working. Working closely with senior leaders, the role will help ensure that design decisions are robust, aligned and implementable across HBK. This role is suited to someone who can combine strong project discipline with organisation design expertise, senior stakeholder management and the ability to turn complex business questions into clear, evidence-based choices. If you are energised by transformation, comfortable working through ambiguity and able to manage delivery in a complex, fast-moving environment, this position may be for you.
Primary ResponsibilitiesYou will take on a diverse, challenging and rewarding role at the centre of the transformation. In this role, you can expect to:
- Plan, structure and facilitate senior leader design workshops to resolve open design questions and move decisions forward.
- Translate agreed design principles into detailed organisation design options, including structures, capabilities, accountabilities, role clarity and sizing assumptions.
- Develop clear operating model artefacts, including governance structures, decision rights, interfaces, hand-offs, ways of working and escalation routes.
- Build and test organisation design scenarios and workflows to assess practicality, business impact, risks, dependencies and implementation readiness.
- Act as the interface into other transformation initiatives to ensure design decisions are aligned, coherent and do not create unintended complexity.
- Maintain disciplined delivery governance, including project plans, decision logs, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and action tracking.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Communications and business leaders to ensure proposed designs are commercially aligned, compliant, people-aware and capable of being implemented effectively.
- Support implementation planning, business readiness and adoption activity so that outcomes are embedded into day-to-day leadership, governance and operating routines.
- Operating Model and Business Architecture Design – experience developing concepts of operation, operating model blueprints, functional models, capability models, governance frameworks and decision-rights frameworks.
- Organisation Design – strong experience in organisational assessment, capability mapping, structure design, role development, spans and layers, sizing assumptions and accountability mapping.
- Transformation Delivery – proven ability to manage complex projects, align multiple workstreams, maintain delivery governance and drive progress against milestones in a fast-moving environment.
- Organisational Change Management – experience supporting change vision, leader engagement, stakeholder alignment, business readiness, adoption planning and behavioural change.
- A proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile transformation or organisation design engagements that create measurable business value.
- Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to bring structure, momentum and clarity to ambiguous or evolving work.
- Credibility and confidence working with senior leaders, including the ability to facilitate trade-off discussions, challenge constructively and support timely decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to translate complex organisational issues into clear options, recommendations and implementation plans.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment across functions, geographies and transformation workstreams.
- Experience using agile, design thinking, workshop facilitation or other collaborative approaches in an organisation design or transformation context.
