The role is open to EMEA based candidates and it is a fixed 12-months contract. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting the company's global enterprise IT environment, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical business systems across manufacturing, engineering, and corporate functions. You will design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud platforms, networks, endpoints, identity and access management, and collaboration technologies.
Working closely with infrastructure, applications, and digital transformation teams, you will proactively identify vulnerabilities, monitor security threats, respond to incidents, and drive continuous improvements to the organisation's security posture. The role requires a hands-on security professional who can balance operational excellence with strategic risk management in a complex manufacturing environment.
You will support compliance with industry standards and regulations, lead security assessments and remediation activities, contribute to security architecture and technology roadmaps, and promote security best practices across the business. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure that cybersecurity is embedded into enterprise systems, projects, and business processes while enabling innovation and operational efficiency.
- Oversee vulnerability management, ensuring scans are setup, taking place and reporting on the data produced in various, required formats and distributed to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct assessment on new AI tooling and models requested by the business and how it would be secured.
- Conduct security assessments on new infrastructure and network designs as well as systems both in the Cloud and on-premise.
- Undertake Security posture checks on M365 and Azure and external facing assets such as websites.
- Representation at Product review boards for durability and reliability products.
- Support the collection and publication of monthly Cyber Security Board data, including patching SLA.
- Act as the Security point of contact to provide security assessment and architectural review on things going into Legato, when requested.
- Member of the AI governance forum that is overseeing the creation AI policies, review procedures, and overall governance of AI across HBK.
- Create, review, and approve Cyber Security policies.
- Lead incident response: coordinate detection, containment, eradication, and post-incident review for security events and data breaches.
- Collaborate with legal, HR, and operations on insider threat investigations, forensic evidence preservation, and regulatory breach notifications.
- Arrange and manage security audits and penetration testing.
- Prepare and present security reports to management.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies such as Tenable, MS Defender etc.
- Monitor and track remediation to all identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and report on user behavioural analysis such as awareness training and social engineering campaigns.
- Identity and assessment management improvements.
- Support compliance initiatives and remediation efforts.
- Support the HBK Cyber Security Transformation programme.
