Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day administration, configuration and optimisation of Salesforce, including users, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, flows, page layouts, objects and fields.
  • Act as the platform specialist for Salesforce, proactively monitoring system health, resolving complex issues, maintaining data integrity and ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure and aligned to business needs.
  • Ownership of the Lead-to-Cash process, with Salesforce serving as the central platform.
  • Provide senior-level guidance on Salesforce platform architecture, configuration decisions and scalable solution design.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into effective Salesforce solutions that improve user adoption, process efficiency and data quality.
  • Own the prioritisation, assessment and delivery of Salesforce enhancement requests, balancing business value, technical complexity, governance and platform best practice.
  • Lead proactive platform reviews to identify risks, performance issues, configuration gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support and optimise the integration between Salesforce and marketing automation platforms to improve lead management, campaign tracking and customer engagement.

Customisation & Development

  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards and custom fields that provide actionable insight.
  • Manage Salesforce automation tools, including Flow, to streamline business processes.
  • Lead customisation and implementation projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement automation, custom objects and integrations where required.

Stakeholder Support

  • Provide training and technical support for Salesforce users, ensuring adoption and proficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders on the business and technical impacts of proposed Salesforce changes.

Data Management & Integrations

  • Oversee data imports, exports and deduplication processes to maintain accurate, clean and reliable data.
  • Implement and monitor data security controls, ensuring alignment with company policies, GDPR and relevant industry standards.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and new features, recommending enhancements that improve usability, adoption and business value.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise business processes and workflows using Salesforce.

Platform Governance

  • Own Salesforce release management, including sandbox strategy, testing, deployments and production releases.
  • Establish and manage Salesforce DevOps practices, including version control, deployment pipelines, release branching, peer review and environment promotion controls.
  • Maintain platform documentation, configuration standards and solution design documentation.
  • Manage technical debt and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices.
  • Perform regular security health checks, permission audits and access reviews.
  • Maintain Field Level Security, Permission Sets, Profiles and Sharing Rules.
  • Support GDPR and audit requirements through appropriate platform controls.

Qualifications

  • A proactive, positive and collaborative approach, with the resilience and ownership needed to support users, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
  • 3–5 years’ experience administering Salesforce in a business environment, ideally supporting Sales, Marketing, Customer Success or Revenue Operations teams.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Advanced Administrator.
  • Hands-on experience managing users, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security and data access controls.
  • Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, custom fields, automation and configuration changes that support business insight and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with complex bi-directional integrations between Salesforce and third-party tools including HubSpot, Gong, Docu-Sign and many more.
  • Understanding of marketing automation platforms and how they integrate with Salesforce to support lead management, campaign tracking and customer engagement.
  • Experience supporting sales and marketing teams with CRM data quality, segmentation, lead routing and marketing campaign reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance business requirements with governance, scalability and platform best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
  • Experience delivering end-user training, documentation and change-management support.

Required Skills

  • Certifications in Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Business Analyst or other relevant Salesforce credentials.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud or other Salesforce products.
  • Experience with data and system migrations.
  • Advanced knowledge of data governance, compliance practices and Salesforce security best practices.
  • Experience leading and executing projects with go-to-market stakeholders.
  • Experience with Salesforce release management, sandbox testing, deployment processes or DevOps practices.
