Role Summary

The Global Marketing Project Manager operates at the heart of Howden Employee Benefits’ Global Marketing function. This high-impact role combines project management, executive support and digital strategy to deliver the team’s most important initiatives on time, on budget and with measurable return on investment.

What Success Looks Like

  • Key global initiatives—thought leadership, campaigns, product launches, and cross-market activations—are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to scope, with proactive risk and dependency management.
  • Administrative processes (diaries, meetings, correspondence and records) run seamlessly across time zones and are maintained with proactive, forward-looking oversight.
  • The global marketing budget tracker is owned end-to-end, with accurate forecasts, timely PO/invoice processing and ROI insight that informs investment decisions.
  • Senior stakeholders regard the project manager as a credible operator who holds them to account and drives progress.
  • Strategic planning and scheduling anticipate needs weeks ahead, clearing blockers before deadlines.
  • A live, trustworthy single-source of truth for clients, colleagues and projects is maintained, with AI tools embedded into everyday workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Delivery: Lead planning, delivery and tracking of key global marketing initiatives; own project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and action logs; define, track and report on KPIs and ROI.
  • Administration & Executive Support: Manage complex multi-time-zone diaries, scheduling and meeting logistics; triage correspondence; maintain records with version control; process expenses, POs and invoices in liaison with finance.
  • Strategic Support to the Global Marketing Leader: Provide forward-looking planning, brief content requirements, clear obstacles and prepare briefing notes and follow-up actions for high-level engagements.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Own the global marketing budget tracker, manage forecasts and actuals, report variances, and surface insights to shape future investment.
  • AI, Digital & Single Source of Truth: Lead adoption and responsible use of AI across content workflows and reporting; maintain the single-source of truth and manage core platforms (Marketing Cloud, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, project-management tools).
  • Stakeholder & Cross-Market Coordination: Collaborate with leadership, sales, country teams and external partners across 40+ markets; coordinate activity, elevate blockers and support internal events and webinars.
  • Operations, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Design and implement better processes, templates and ways of working; produce high-quality presentations, dashboards and status updates for senior stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven project-management experience with a record of delivering complex projects on time and to measurable outcomes.
  • High-calibre administrative or executive-support background (senior EA, PA or Chief of Staff) with diary management, meeting logistics and document administration.
  • Deep AI and digital fluency—confidence with AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT and automation across workflows.
  • Strong commercial awareness and hands-on budget management (forecasts, POs, invoices) and ROI tracking.
  • Exceptional forward-looking diary management, able to anticipate needs across time zones.
  • Ability to hold senior leaders to account, with gravitas and stakeholder-management skill across cultures and geographies.
  • Excellent written communication and advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, detail-oriented and able to exercise sound judgement on what matters most.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud, SharePoint and Microsoft 365.

Nice to Have

  • Recognised project-management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, Agile / Scrum).
  • Background or exposure to financial services, insurance, employee benefits or professional services; interest in Howden’s Global Growth Solutions agenda.
