We are currently working with a privately owned quality driven housebuilder who are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to assist in the construction of a phase of over 60 x 2, 3 and 4 Bed Houses in Wrea Green, Preston. You will be required to take this phase of houses from first fix to handover. The ethos of the builder is to hand over defect free houses so they would expect someone to have a keen eye for detail.

As the Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining health and safety
  • Overseeing the sub-contractors
  • Coordinating labour and trades whilst working alongside the NHBC Award Winning Site Managers
  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of the public, staff and supply chain within their control under the strict observance of the safety policy
  • Supervising the day-to-day delivery of construction projects; quality, time, procurement, contractors including the supervision of sub-contractors and the monitoring of contractor attendance and progress providing direct instruction as necessary
  • Ensuring that detailed plans are followed such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet the overall project plan
  • Ensuring all materials delivered to site to meet production needs
  • Identifying all additional work and ensuring that the site team are fully aware of all potential opportunities and risks
  • Communicating any project issues/risks to site team
