We are currently working with a privately owned housebuilder that is looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to assist in the construction and delivery of 2, 3 & 4-Bedroom Detached Houses in the Preston area. With a strong reputation across the Northwest for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, this developer is known for delivering homes of the highest quality.
As the Assistant Site Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the construction process from groundworks through to final completion, supporting the Site Manager in ensuring the build is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Responsible for the safety and welfare of the public, staff, and supply chain within their control under the strict observance of the safety policy.
- Work safely, stopping work if unsafe and speaking up to address any safety concerns.
- Participate in safety initiatives.
- Supervise the day-to-day delivery of construction projects; quality, time, procurement, contractors including the supervision of sub-contractors and the monitoring of contractor attendance and progress providing direct instruction as necessary.
- Ensure that detailed plans are followed such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet the overall project plan.
- Ensure all materials delivered to site meet production needs.
- Ensure that all additional work is identified and that the site team are fully aware of all potential opportunities and risks.
- Communicate any project issues/risks to the site team to ensure that they are fully aware of project progress and are notified of all financial, specification, and time risks.
- Embrace those sustainable practices relevant to your role, helping to identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience/Qualifications/Requirements:
- Relevant Degree, HNC Construction
- Trade Background preferred
- Must be from a housebuilding background
- Be able to demonstrate career stability
- SMSTS
- CSCS card holder
- First Aid Certificate
- Current full UK driving license
