We are currently looking to recruit a Multi-skilled operative to join a well-established 5* housebuilder based in Warrington. You will be responsible for carrying out the remedial work on recently purchased properties, including patch plastering, painting, and hanging doors. All work would generally involve minor defects. Ideally, they would like someone from a joinery background. The developments are spread across Manchester, Liverpool, and Cheshire.
Responsibilities
- To carry out remedial works as deployed by the customer service team in occupied and unoccupied properties.
- Complete repairs on time/first visit.
- To complete works to a high standard of quality in line with NHBC/LABC.
- To review defects lists and procure any materials required prior to customer appointments.
- To complete stock unit inspections on dead sites in order to get these units up to the right standard for walk-through.
- To meet customers and inspect reported defects, compile reports with photographs, and pass back to the customer service team so remedial work can be coordinated with sub-contractors.
- Attend NHBC Resolutions and meet with customers to discuss reports with photographs and pass back to the Customer Service Team so remedial work can be coordinated.
- Maintain accurate records on the Defects Management System.
- To organize and prioritize workload.
Skills Required
- IT Literate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, engaging with customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good practical experience within all aspects of the building industry.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, bricklaying, plastering, drylining, and all finishing trades.
- Resilient personality and able to maintain a professional image.
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
- Current driving license.
