HBE UK are a water hygiene and compliance specialist supporting commercial clients with the management of Legionella and water system risks. HBE UK help clients remain compliant with HSG274 and related legislation, delivering reliable, nationwide support via experienced field-based engineering teams.

HBE UK are looking for an experienced Water BDM to help grow the business. This role is central to our expansion strategy, delivering compliance, risk management, remedial work, and consultancy services to a growing client base. Targets are linked to salary plus a commission scheme.

What you will do:

  • Identify and engage potential clients through inbound and outbound sales, converting leads into long-term partnerships.
  • Work closely with our marketing team on lead generation campaigns.
  • Follow up on inbound web leads generated from PPC and online marketing efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records in HubSpot CRM, tracking sales activity and client interactions to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate pricing and service specifications to clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutual benefit for both the company and clients.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets, with opportunities for career progression.

Who you are:

  • Proactive, resilient, and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced water sales environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in engaging clients via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Experienced in transactional sales, including cold calling and self-generated leads using market tools.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a talent for identifying opportunities and closing deals effectively.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a collaborative sales team.
  • IT proficient, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Passionate about business development, sales, and the environmental/water sector, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
