Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Growth Officer to lead the next phase of international growth for a global professional services organisation operating across research, advisory, consulting, and data-led solutions. This executive leadership role will focus on accelerating revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, improving sales and bid performance, and driving strategic go-to-market initiatives across international markets. The successful candidate will work closely with regional leadership teams to optimise business development performance, enhance client engagement, and support innovation in client offerings and commercial strategy.

A significant proportion of the organisation’s work supports government departments, public sector bodies, regulators, international institutions, and policy-driven organisations. As such, the role requires a strong understanding of public sector procurement, complex stakeholder environments, and the delivery of services within highly regulated and politically sensitive contexts. The role requires a highly collaborative leader with deep experience in complex professional services environments and a strong track record of delivering large-scale revenue growth globally, particularly within government, public sector, and institutional markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic business development initiatives across multiple international markets.
  • Drive improvements in pipeline management, bid quality, conversion rates, pricing strategy, and sales effectiveness.
  • Lead and support major public sector bids, tenders, frameworks, and procurement opportunities, including high-value and multi-country pursuits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government departments, regulators, public bodies, and institutional clients.
  • Identify cross-selling and whitespace opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts.
  • Develop scalable best practices and knowledge-sharing processes to improve commercial performance globally.
  • Strengthen long-term client relationships and support high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to resolve client challenges and improve service outcomes.
  • Lead global marketing and brand positioning initiatives to increase market visibility and commercial impact.
  • Support the creation of high-value client engagement experiences, thought leadership programmes, and policy-focused industry engagement initiatives.
  • Enhance the organisation’s reputation as a trusted advisor within government and public policy environments.
  • Champion innovation in client offerings, including the use of AI and technology to enhance services and operational effectiveness.
  • Assess emerging market opportunities, policy trends, and evolving client needs to inform growth strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with operational, technology, data, and delivery teams to scale innovative solutions internationally.
  • Support the development of intellectual property, market insights, and sector-leading capabilities relevant to public policy and public service delivery.
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team with responsibility for commercial growth targets and strategic planning.
  • Partner with HR and leadership teams to strengthen commercial capability and training across client-facing teams.
  • Assess market risks and develop strategic interventions to support sustainable growth.
  • Foster collaboration across geographically dispersed teams and business units.
Requirements
  • 15+ years’ experience leading commercial growth within a global professional services environment.
  • Proven success in large-scale business development, strategic sales, and client relationship management.
  • Significant experience working with government departments, public sector organisations, regulators, international institutions, or policy-focused organisations.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, frameworks, and tender environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue and margin growth against ambitious targets.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex bids, tenders, and strategic pursuits.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, brand positioning, and client engagement strategies.
  • Experience operating at Executive or Board level within a multinational organisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex, and evolving environments.
