We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and patient‑focused Phlebotomist Receptionist to support our established clinic. This varied role combines clinical phlebotomy duties with front‑of‑house reception and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out blood sample collection for prenatal and wellbeing testing services, welcoming clients to the clinic, managing appointments, and providing exceptional customer service throughout their journey with us. The ideal candidate will have previous phlebotomy experience alongside strong administrative and communication skills, ensuring a professional, efficient, and friendly experience for every client.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venepuncture procedures safely, efficiently, and confidently.
- Accurately label, process, and prepare samples for laboratory collection.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and clinical hygiene.
- Ensure all client records and documentation are completed accurately.
- Provide reassurance and support to clients throughout their appointment.
- Adhere to all clinical governance, confidentiality, and safeguarding requirements.
- Support the wider clinic team in delivering excellent customer service.
- Booking appointments for customers both over the phone and in person.
- Welcoming customers to the clinic and assisting them with any queries.
- Taking payments.
- Explaining our scan packages and optional add‑ons in a supportive and informative way.
- Acting as a Chaperone where required (short qualification provided).
- Assisting with the cleaning and presentation of the clinic and equipment.
- Taking customer feedback and relaying this to management.
- Supporting social media and customer engagement initiatives where appropriate.
- Completing job‑specific training.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Phlebotomist.
- Relevant phlebotomy qualification or certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
- Experience within a healthcare, diagnostic, or clinical setting is desirable.
- Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience in reception or administration preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Calm and empathetic approach.

- Confidence discussing services and answering customer questions.
