HB Tunnelling is a specialist tunnelling and underground infrastructure contractor delivering complex trenchless and shaft construction projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a CAD Technician / CAD Engineer to support our engineering and operational teams from our Doncaster office.

The successful candidate will assist in the production and management of technical drawings and engineering information for tunnelling, shaft, and civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist contractor working on major infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and update 2D CAD drawings for construction and engineering projects.
  • Support site and engineering teams with technical drawings, layouts, and design information.
  • Assist in preparing construction details, temporary works drawings, and as-built records.
  • Coordinate drawing revisions and document control.
  • Work closely with operational, engineering, and commercial teams to support live projects.
  • Support development of 3D models and visualisations where required.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience using AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software (essential).
  • Experience with 3D modelling software such as Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, or similar would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
Qualifications
  • Relevant qualification in CAD, Engineering, Construction, or similar preferred.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification beneficial but not essential depending on experience.
