We are a specialist civil engineering contractor delivering complex geotechnical, tunnelling, and underground infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Geotechnical Engineer to join our team, supporting project delivery through site supervision, technical oversight, and client engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being on-site, working closely with clients and contractors, and playing a key role in the successful delivery of challenging ground engineering projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supervising geotechnical site investigations, ground engineering works, and construction activities across multiple projects.
  • Acting as the key technical point of contact between clients, site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Monitoring site works to ensure compliance with project specifications, health and safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Reviewing ground conditions and providing practical engineering recommendations to support project delivery.
  • Preparing site reports, factual records, and technical documentation.
  • Attending client meetings, progress reviews, and site inspections.
  • Assisting with project planning, programme management, and coordination of site activities.
  • Supporting commercial teams with technical input for project variations and change management.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supervising geotechnical investigations, earthworks, foundation works, ground improvement, or related civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of site operations, construction methodologies, and health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently on site.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations.
  • Working towards or already holding professional accreditation (ICE, Geological Society, or equivalent) is desirable.
