Job Summary

HB Tunnelling Ltd is looking for a Civil Engineering Estimator, ideally with experience in tunnelling, shaft sinking and trenchless industry, to support the estimating and work winning team and report to the Pre‑Contracts Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the estimating and work winning team.
• Report to the Pre‑Contracts Director.

Key Requirements

• Essential – Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Essential – Experience using MS Project and preparing program and schedule.
• Essential – Construction knowledge background with civils and utilities experience.
• Desirable – Diploma/Degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or related field.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret project specifications, and estimate quantities and costs.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous review of documents, plans and costs to ensure accuracy.
• Numeracy: Strong mathematical and problem‑solving skills.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials and industry practices or willingness to learn.
• Communication: Effective communication with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks and stay organized with documentation and deadlines.
• IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Team Player: Work collaboratively with senior estimators and other project team members.
• Training: Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on‑the‑job training or formal coursework.

Remuneration
