We are seeking a skilled and reliable Scaffold Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for support to constructing, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to work at heights while ensuring the stability and integrity of scaffolding systems. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry, roofing, or related trades to contribute to diverse construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Help to erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, or electrical teams to facilitate smooth workflow.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for assembly and disassembly tasks.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and organised to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently during all phases of scaffold construction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction labour.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in scaffold construction and fabrication.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to working at heights and on construction sites.
- Physical fitness to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks over extended periods.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in ensuring scaffold stability and safety compliance.
- Relevant certifications or training in working at heights or scaffolding (preferred).
