We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as a Food Processing and New Product Delivery Specialist. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of new products to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food processing, quality control and launching food products for major UK retailers with a keen eye for innovation and continuous product improvement. There is lots of travel with the role in the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Food Processing: Responsible for the process and scale-up elements of Product Development across our UK and European manufacturing sites. Collaborate with our Product Development team and manufacturing partners to design, plan, execute and manage appropriate factory trials, communicating with all parties, including the customer at each stage. Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to guarantee the consistency and excellence of all products.
- New Product Development: Work closely and collaboratively with the product development team to understand the requirements and specifications of new food products. Collaborate in the development of new recipes, formulations, and production processes. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability and scalability of new products. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into the production and delivery processes.
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for both food processing and product delivery. Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and regulatory standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements for new and existing products. Analyse data and key performance indicators to drive operational excellence. Implement and track continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Food Science-related subject.
- Proven experience in food processing or Food Technology.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with new product development processes and innovation in the food industry.
