We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant. This role has become available due to a retiring team member. The role initially is office-based between Ormskirk and Bootle. We are looking for someone available asap. Paying up to £60,000.
The Opportunity
This is a hands‑on Senior Management Accountant role suited to someone technically strong who is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced SME environment. The successful candidate will:
- Deliver accounts and reports directly to clients
- Sign off all accounts
- Take ownership of accounting queries and support the business in achieving targets
- Support and help strengthen the finance team structure
- Be willing to get stuck in
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Fully qualified accountant: CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- Strong technical accounting capability
- Experience delivering accounts directly to clients
- Comfortable signing off accounts
- Strong management accounting background
- Confident handling high volumes of basic accounting work accurately
- Happy working across multiple entities and structures
- Commercial, hands‑on and adaptable approach
Working Style
Primarily office‑based initially. Flexible working is available after induction and time established with the systems. Some flexibility is required around time differences when working with overseas parts of the business. The environment is collaborative and pragmatic, with a strong give‑and‑take culture.
