Practice Accountant, Ormskirk, up to £45k for full time hours, plus bonus opp
Office-based with flexible working hours, would consider full-time or part-time (salary pro rated). Option for hybrid working once successfully passed probationary.

Our client is an independent and friendly accountancy practice based in Ormskirk, providing accounting and tax services to a wide range of local businesses and individuals. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Practice Accountant to join our team.
The Role
- The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients and be involved in all aspects of accounts preparation, taxation, and client support.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Completion of VAT returns and bookkeeping where required
- Preparation of personal and corporation tax returns
- Managing client relationships and responding to queries
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Assisting with management accounts and general practice work
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and on time, Liaising with HMRC where necessary
About You
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, qualified by experience, or currently studying
- Accountancy qualifications are not essential for the right candidate
- Good working knowledge of accounts, VAT, and taxation
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Friendly and professional manner with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Experience with cloud accounting software preferred
- Right to work in the UK and be able to start in the location asap.
