A Multi-Academy Trust in the East Midlands is seeking a Senior Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner, ideally with experience of working in schools / educational trusts or similar multi-site public sector environments. This is a full-time, hybrid working role, based at the central offices with travel to schools across the Trust.

As the Senior Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial planning, reporting, and business partnering support across the Trust.

  • Leading Trust-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Producing accurate monthly consolidated management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports
  • Providing scenario modelling and cost-efficiency analysis to inform strategic decisions
  • Acting as a trusted finance business partner to headteachers and school leadership teams
  • Embedding consistent financial processes, controls, and systems across the Trust
  • Translating complex financial information into clear, practical advice for non-finance colleagues
  • Team management and development

Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA). Have relevant experience in business partnering, financial management, planning, and reporting. Skilled in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and management accounts. Possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to provide meaningful variance analysis and recommendations.
