Finance Manager – Multi-Academy Trust - Hybrid workingThe OpportunityHB Partners Limited is delighted to be partnering with an established, high-performing Multi-Academy Trust to appoint a Finance Manager to lead its operational finance function.
This is a pivotal, highly visible role. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be the driving force behind a robust, compliant and forward-thinking finance function, working alongside senior leaders, academy teams and governance committees. You will also lead and develop a capable operational finance team. For an ambitious finance professional seeking genuine influence within a values-led organisation, this is an outstanding next step.
What You Will Be DoingLeading the operational finance team and delivering a high-quality finance service across the TrustOwning month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and year-end financial statementsLeading internal and external audit activity and ensuring full regulatory complianceDesigning and embedding strong financial controls, policies and proceduresOverseeing the finance system to ensure accurate, timely reportingManaging cash flow, banking arrangements and the Trust's investment portfolioEnsuring accurate HMRC, DfE and other statutory returnsHelping to shape the Trust's wider finance strategyActing as a trusted adviser, providing financial guidance and training to colleagues across the academiesIdentifying and driving improvements to systems, processes and financial performanceWhat We Are Looking ForCIMA, ACCA or ACA qualifiedAt least five years' experience within a finance functionProven experience managing a finance teamStrong knowledge of financial controls, audit and regulatory complianceSolid experience of financial systems and proceduresExperience within education, a Multi-Academy Trust, charity / not-for-profit or public sector, would be highly advantageous.
