Regional HR Business Partner – Multi-Academy Trust (12-Month FTC)
Location: Home based – with travel across academies in Suffolk and Norfolk
Salary: £50k to £54k plus benefits
Contract: Fixed Term Contract, 12 months, Full Time
HB Partners is delighted to be supporting a leading national multi-academy trust in the appointment of a Regional HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a background in the education sector to take ownership of the people agenda across a regional group of academies, working as a trusted partner to school leaders and playing a key role in shaping the future direction of a highly regarded organisation.
The Role
Reporting into the central HR team, you will deliver an expert, professional HR service across your region, providing both face-to-face and remote support to your academies. You will build confidence in the HR function among senior stakeholders, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and act as a key driver of organisational and cultural change in support of the Trust's wider strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading on complex employee relations matters and casework across the region, ensuring timely and fair resolution for both the organisation and its staff
- Partnering with the central recruitment team to deliver a coordinated approach to attraction and recruitment, ensuring full staffing across all schools
- Contributing to the development of compliant, supportive and straightforward operational policies and procedures
- Ensuring academy HR teams and leadership have access to appropriate training
- Supporting the onboarding of new academies joining the Trust, including TUPE transfers, staff inductions, data migration and system training
- Developing and implementing plans to support organisational and cultural change, driving effectiveness, accountability and performance
About You
- CIPD qualified or with substantial equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing complex casework and high-level employee relations issues
- Previous HR experience within the education sector
- Excellent relationship management skills, with a track record of building credibility with senior stakeholders
