About the job
- Within your role at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for:
- To greet our guests, residents and visitors on both arrival and departure courteously and professionally.
- To give and receive handover from shift to shift in order to ensure effective communication.
- To ensure that the front entrance is kept clean and tidy.
- To check arrival and departure reports so as to anticipate guests needs.
- To ensure that the main entrance is attended at all times.
- To assist guests and residents on arrival by opening car doors, ensuring a warm welcome.
- To unload any belongings, ensuring a smooth and safe flow.
- To ensure the safe parking of residents cars in our parking bays and guest cars at an off-site location.
Possession of a valid UK driving license is essential.
- To assist guests, residents and visitors in providing taxis on request.
- To guide guests and residents to pre-arranged transport.
- To ensure the safe keeping and issuing of pass keys.
- To assist the Bell team when necessary to ensure that the guest luggage/items are delivered or collected from the guest room within the Company’s standard.
- To ensure that Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London Grooming standards are maintained - ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and demonstrate a professional image for our guests.
- To introduce guests to the receptionist for an efficient and personalised check-in.
- To carry out any other reasonable requests as directed by the Manager on duty.
- As a
Doorperson , you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours a week.
Shift patterns will vary from morning, evening, and night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
