This is an opening for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding cask and craft team.
You must have an interest in real ale, craft beer, bag in box cider and excellent communication skills.
You will take responsibility for both winning new business and managing existing accounts throughout the group
Your potential customer base will be diverse, ranging from hotels, restaurants, pubs and clubs etc.
This will involve working some unsocial hours each week.
The ability to present and close business face to face is essential.
Responsibilities
What you can expect from the Cask and Craft Sales Specialist role
- You’ll identify, qualify and target potential cask customers and business opportunities.
- You’ll become the ‘friendly expert’ to key accounts.
- You’ll provide product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers and our own sales teams.
- You’ll need to keep up to date with the latest product knowledge.
- Working with the whole sales team, you’ll develop cask and craft beer opportunities in existing HBC customers.
- You’ll be expected to contribute to the categories growth and KPIs.
- You’ll require a working understanding of the On Trade.
- A Knowledge of dispense systems involved in cask, craft and Bi B and the technical ability to assist with issues as and when they arise.
- You will go on Field sales visits into on-trade venues either on your own or with account manages to capitalise on opportunities.
- Negotiate prices with the customer and suppliers.
- You’ll report back insight and information gained during your calls.
- You’ll need to use your people skills to build strong business relationships across On Trade.
- You will take an active role in the development of our own brand including recognising opportunities and conversion as well as product development and installs and, together with the cask manager, become a brand ambassador for the companies exclusive brands
- You will be required to complete the set up and break down of our own dispense equipment for all events, trade shows and festivals that require this service.
Essential Skills & Qualifications

- Full clean UK Driving Licence
- Good Microsoft word and excel skills (able to create spreadsheets and basic formulas)
- Ability to manage time and work to deadlines.
