HB Clark & Co (Successors) Ltd is a well-established trade wholesaler of wines, spirits, beers, ales and soft drinks. The company was established in 1906, and its main head office is situated in Wakefield. We have 9 depots across the North of England.

Job Purpose

To deliver the budgeted new business Sales Revenue and Gross margin for the region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear territory strategy and plan to ensure that HBC wins the level of new business required to fuel its growth and market share.
  • Ensure all commercial targets are achieved/exceeded through new business wins with HBC gaining winning positions across all categories not just beer.
  • Ensure an effective handover of all new business wins to Sales Execs, ideally within a 2-month window of the business being won and secured.
  • Report to the RC on all aspects of the prospect pipeline, clearly detailing circumstances, stage in the pipeline and level of opportunity.
  • Interact and engage with key brand owners & 3rd party’s as required to be highly effective.
  • Work X functionally within HB Clark to overcome barriers to new customer supply.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years Commercial experience with an On Trade / Hospitality background
  • Experience in winning new business
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Good Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to manage time and work to deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Demonstrate an ability to negotiate and influence others both internally and externally
  • Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of working to targets and deadlines
