Role and responsibilities
- Supervise a portfolio of law firm clients, taking responsibility for all aspects of their accounting and advisory needs.
- Oversee work both remotely, in our offices and occasionally at client premises, and liaise with clients, acting as a key point of contact for day‑to‑day ad hoc queries and enquiries.
- Manage project work such as practice restructuring, valuations, mergers and succession planning.
- Work closely with our dedicated internal tax team and participate in tax compliance and planning work where necessary.
- Supervise, motivate and coach staff, including involvement in staff training, one‑to‑one meetings and appraisals.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Up to date technical knowledge (UK GAAP, Companies Act, Financial Reporting Standards, etc.).
- Team and peer leadership skills, including the ability to appraise, motivate and develop staff.
- Previous experience of working with law firms would be helpful but is not essential.
