LEAFY CROPS SPECIALIST As the Leafy Crops Specialist, you will be part of the Hazera UK Commercial team and will report to the Hazera UK Commercial Manager. You will be responsible for and take ownership of the Leafy Crop product group, from research and development through to direct commercial sales. You will have three main accountabilities: To take responsibility for direct commercial sales to the specialist producers and for chain management of processors of Leafy Crops in all the Hazera regions of activity covering all UK and Eire. To manage the research and development activity of the Leafy Crop range distributed by Hazera on behalf of all LVS brands, in coordination with the Hazera UK product development team, LVS breeding and LVS development teams. To support the promotion and marketing of the Leafy Crop sector across all LVS brand products in the UK in coordination with Hazera UK Marcom and the Commercial Manager. Main Responsibilities: Management of key accounts of clients specialising in leafy crop production, through direct sales and support of the Hazera UK commercial team activities. Support the evolution of pricing and management of forecasting in conjunction with Hazera UK managers and LVS partners across the Leafy Crop sector. Help create pricing policy and take responsibility for forecasting of Hazera and LVS brand leafy products in coordination with the Commercial Manager supported by Market Development Managers. Ensure that effective credit control is in place with your client base in line with the company’s collection policies and objectives. Maintain regular contact with Hazera UK Finance Manager on collections and payment plans. Develop and implement a detailed strategic and tactical business plan to achieve objectives in relation to commercial sales targets for the Leafy Crop sector. Develop and implement a comprehensive trials programme at the research and development level to ensure the strengthening and expansion of the Hazera UK Leafy Crop product range. Project manage the Hazera UK leafy research trial site, supported by the product development team Ensure effective product development and sales reporting is in operation with regular reports on product development and sales progress to Hazera UK and LVS managers and partners. Participate in both product development and commercial team meetings, interacting closely with the product development and sales team members at UK level and with LVS partners as required. Generate a high profile with key accounts and influencers in the UK Leafy Crop industry and maintain an effective and positive image for Hazera and the LVS brands in the trade media. Support downstream interaction with the Fresh Produce Chain creating networks in cooperation with the appropriate Market Development Manager as required. Contribute to the creation of promotional material supported by Hazera Marcom using house styles and technical requirements of Hazera and LVS companies as required. Plan and manage promotional events that will demonstrate the value of the Hazera leafy crop portfolio, supported by the Hazera Marcom team and the Commercial Manager. The Leafy Crops Specialist will be home-based and must have the ability to work cross-functionally within an international background, have good networking competency and must have excellent organisation and communication skills. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience: Relevant Bachelor degree (minimum) – business/marketing/agronomy/plant science/etc. Wide knowledge of the UK vegetable industry gained from practical work, education and sales experience. At least 4 years of work experience in a commercial and development environment with sound understanding of sales and marketing. Crop management knowledge desired. Strong presentation and promotional skills. Excellent business development record with specific strengths in innovation and chain approach Inspirational frontline ambassador for the company with both internal (LVS) and external partners (clients/influencers) within your specialist crop group. Outstanding organization skills and ability with proven project management record. Dynamic, visible, high-energy, proactive and a team player. Business sense, able to work at different levels, outgoing personality. IT competent with good understanding of digital tools. Willingness to travel frequently. Ambition to learn, grow and develop. International mindset.
